(TONS OF) Picture(s) Walk – A Day in Holland: Thai, Wine…and DUTCH SHIT. he he

HA HA
Just as I was gonna say I don’t know what this is???
There you go. In plain English.
((Gas & Water))

Dunno. It called to me and said, “Take my picture!”
So I obliged…as always.

Too cute. Had to ask the owners for a picture.
THIS my dear friends, is what they refer to as the “Bentley” face.
At least, that’s what they called it when my mom was buying her teacup yorkie.
$$$
These people looked more “sane” though and most likely just happened to get one of the most
adorable doggiesย on the planet without paying the price of a kidney.
๐Ÿ™‚

My soupie fav. Tom Kha Gai.
Restaurant: Khan Thoong.

Saw this off in the distance and had to walk up and snap it.

A little starter treat the restaurant serves once you’re seated.
It changes.
I love it. Great touch…plus, gets you EATING ASAP!
๐Ÿ˜›

Dessert. I wanted to try peanuts…
but, I think this was pieces of caramel instead.
OH well.

COMPLIMENTARY glass of wine from Sue.
A waitress I started a convo with last time I was at the restaurant.
Awwwweeeee. I’m so SPWECIAL!
She came up to the table and was like, “This one me, and here’s your bottle.”
I thought homegirl was gonna DRINK with me.
LOL
((We got things clarified, and I thanked her accordingly.))

Escapes into solidarity, wine and self-reflection are a VERY GREAT “pairing”
even though it’s more than 2 elements.
((I was trying to stay within the “wine” theme))
๐Ÿ˜›

I never have Benzir Bhutto far away when I’m on my solo wanderings.
This pic has elements of VERY special meanings.
I noticed this while I re-read something I underlined, which says:
“It is so much easier to blame others for our problems than to accept responsibility ourselves.”
I love this women. Too bad she was assassinated, making ever meeting her
quite HIGH on the difficult scale.
The pen has Frida Kahlo on it and was given to me by my VERY dear and
AMAZING friend Erika.
This year, DRAGONS have a very special meaning…so everything combined just had to be
captured.

People at restaurants must take me for crazy…OK, fine. Everyone who meets me.
FINE FINE FINE.
I love getting lost in things that capture my eye until I’ve snapped it JUST RIGHT.
(Even if it’s not right to you, it is to me. So, **STICKING OUT TONGUE** making a “HMMM” simultaneously.)

Looked down at the railing while walking over the canal and wanted to photograph it somehow.
And here you go.

Captured this, because it was the first signs of spring.
๐Ÿ™‚
I looked and was like “AHA! LIFE!”

A lock on a railing a few minutes away from the hotel.

And there you go.
Catching up with my pics.
Still have a few more entries…

however, jumping over to the airport and then Amsterdam for the night.
And ummmmmmm…

Need to leave, like

NOW!

Thanks for stopping by.
XOXOXOXO

Oh yeah, I must admit. I’m slightly impressed at how the pics came out.
๐Ÿ™‚

I’m my worst critic, but sometimes, I manage to actually pat myself on the back.
**patting**

Just BE the Buddha……..Footsteps of a Murderer and WHIPPED CREAM. Mmmmmmmmm.

Yeah so……..that “DETOX” thing.
It took a little detour last night. For GOOD reason though!
Had to go out and celebrate my new inspired project. It has to do with the 13 Eastern European
countries I have planned starting in May.
However, in between I may add MORE…cuz it’d work well with the rockingly SWEET idea I have in my head.
I was on a high for like 3 hours. So psyched. Couldn’t stand still. Can’t wait to start planning it.

Answer is NO.
You’ll just have to wait and see.
I imagine it to be finished some time in July/August…depending on how many countries and cities I
decide to include.

** Work in Progress…stay tuned! You’re gonna wanna! TRUST ME!!!! **

Headed out for Thai, again.
I can basically hit 3 restaurants now, between Schiedam and Rotterdam…
2 Thai 1 Italian
WITH my earphones in (if I’m alone)
and have my drink and meal all decided without saying a word.
I love it.

Little shriny thing at the entrance.
(sorry, iPod pics)

This is MY kinda Buddha.
Buddy’s chillin and lookin’ out the window.
Buddha-life. Observe and chill.
Take notes.

After a beer for the car ride and about 4-5 glasses of wine I was like, Hmmmmm.
I should get a bottle, huh?
(I don’t remember what the waitress said, but it was along the lines of…
“You drink fast and much!”
Just because I was on my 3rd while everyone was nursing their 1st.
Psssht.

And yes. bottle ALL mine.
(That MIGHT explain the headache today.)

2-in-1 cappuccino. 1st one didn’t cut it.
Willem hooked it up for me.
This hotel makes me feel so special and loved.
(Well, except when my room’s cleaned and I’m missing things…)
And yes, they satisfy my slagroom (whipped cream) desires quite well, as you can see.

Went for a walk the other day and spotted this “horrific” explosion of feathers.
??????
You’d think I’d find a carcass of a bird WHACKED by a car…
however, couldn’t find it.
No body, no crime?

Why? Why is this done? Does anyone know?
If you have a PUBLIC video…why block out different parts of the world?
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Also got to use the night to meet up with my “brother” Anthony (as a last drink before he head’s off
to the Bahamas)
who gave me a jacketย he wore, that I liked the other night.
๐Ÿ™‚

I failed to calculate our difference in size.
LOL

Going to see if I can get it altered tomorrow.
Thank you Anthony.
LOVE YOU and SAFE travels!!!!!!!!!!

xoxoxox

My Heartstrings in Holland…………………

Went out for some of the most ORGASMIC Thai I’ve had this trip.
http://www.khan-thoong.nl/
Third time eating there…it’s a flip depending on day between THERE and See You See Me.
But KHAN THOONG doesn’t have one of my favorite Holland additions.
Nathalie.
๐Ÿ™‚

However, it IS closer…so, sometimes I have to “cheat” on her.
Sorry baby!!!!!

Here are some of my boys trying ta get a parking ticket.
PAIN in the ASS. I hate these things.
Seriously, after being here for so long…I SOOOOOO MISS Florida and “normal” parking lots!
Park and eat.
Park and shop.
Simple. Not this DRAMA.

Bill to the rescue. True European blood workin’ the machine.

My BOYZZZZZZZZZZZ.
See the heart. I LOVE THIS MAN. One of my SEXY Scottsman.

Another two of my favs.
Mark and Anthony.
HA HA
Indy, this is for YOU. Get it?
MARK……..ANTHONY?!?!?!?
๐Ÿ˜›
I just couldn’t. Needed to snap the pic for that joke, alone.
(My Marc Anthony and Pitbull FANATIC!)

Last but not least…my PET TERMINATOR!!!!!!!
ROCK IT RICK!
This guy’s got my back. Still wanna mess with me???
๐Ÿ˜€

Et voilร . For you my dear. Hope you like.

Twas crazy sweet doing this entry.
These guys truly make my heart smile. So, looking at pics and thinking about them…
makes me ultra happy having them in my life.

**KISSES to MY Heartstrings**

XOXOXOXOX

My life, is amazing…because it rains these special treats upon me, throughout my
journeys. LUCK has nothing to do with it.
Take my lead. Let me show you the way.

๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m tellin’ ya. I’m the voice of reason. Just shut up…listen…and OBEY!
Really.
You’re in good hands.

(I have references. Hundreds of ’em. Maybe even thousands.)

Mindless Wanderings in The Hague (Den Haag) & Indo Food (Nom, nom) – Travel Pics

Time to hopefully NOT get lost.
๐Ÿ™‚

I wanted STARBUCKS and FOOD.
Closest location: Den Haag.
(Crazy the mission one goes on to get JUST the right treat their heart desires.)

Made it. Snapped a pic to remember where we parked.

While aimlessly wandering having not a clue of what to eat
we stumble upon an Indonesian restaurant.
(I totally forgot my craving and desire earlier on in the week for Indonesian food.)
Life’s good.

Spicy fried rice. Just LOOK at those BEAUTIFUL peppers.
Mmmmmmmmm.

Beef rendang and pork.

LOVED this sink.

Le Throne.
One great appreciation I have, is the private toilets. I hate those swinging doors
with the free-for-view slits.
Privacy damnit! Is that so much to ask?

Cool little dolls accompanying our dining experience.

Gotta try the Indo beer. Pretty good.
๐Ÿ™‚

Decided to wander some more.

Didn’t know what this was but we walked up on it. Through the tunnel and BANG.
Twas cool. Google searched and found out this is the Gevangenpoort Museum.
(in a 16th Century castle)

Awkwardly cute and disturbing.

Le Dessert.
๐Ÿ™‚

Ahhhhhhhhhh. Soy White Chocolate Mocha. Heaven.
And, of course…met SLAGROOM!
(with whipped cream)

Some random pics I took ages ago, here somewhere in Holland, just posting.
Hope you enjoyed.

I Told You, My DiMattCa Clan, that I’d have something for ya……..are you sitting down? Sit down.

We left off with Matt impregnating a dolphin…
so while you guys passed out on me
here are the treasures that I stumbled upon.
(Which then in turn lead to adventures and creative genius. Don’t you just LOVE when that happens?)

We wondered what the baby would look like..
well, here’s Matt and Flipperina’s child, as a teen.
(Takes more after Matt it seems.)

When he was a baby, we weren’t quite sure who the father was.

Kewl pic I came across while on the search of Matt’s porpoise offspring pics.

ย

Sweet, no?

Diana’s porpoise offspring.
Cute little thing.

Remember my adoptive family?
Found a pic of my brother. His such a pimp.
๐Ÿ™‚

Imagine takin’ this guy to bed.
(Actually, it might make a threesome kinda fun. Or at least, interesting.)
Nice butt.
๐Ÿ™‚

Which then brought me to multi-limbed frogs.
Fa-reaky!
Believed to be caused by a parasite called Ribeiroia.

Awwwweeeeee. Why are baby things always so cute?

Which brought me to him…

And then to polydactyly. No Photoshop here. Tiz real.

A guy in my class had thumbs like this. HE could actually control it like a crab claw.
Twas neat. There was a girl in my same class that was missing a thumb
because when she was younger she sucked on it and to stop her, her mom bandaged it up.
Well, that thumb eventually fell off.
I always thought, “HEY! Why don’t you give your thumb to her!”
(BALANCE, no?)

Then KFC came to mind…

Which all at once inspired an ad campaign.
๐Ÿ™‚
C’mon. Just TELL me I’m not a advertising GENIUS!!!
That’s why they pay me the BIG bucks!
๐Ÿ˜›

\

Then, a buncha other randomness.
A freaky fish face

With all the work to create the frog tongue, don’t you think they coulda
Photoshopped the damn fillings out of her mouth?

Oh Kermie. What would Miss Piggy say!

Throwback to the topics:

Oh wait.
HA HA

I got something for ya.
**HOLD**

Right. I’m back.
To ma Dragomir:
Your very own Dragominater poster.
Coming to a theater near YOU!
I know you gonna just LOVE this. Again. I’m good.
You love it, yes??? Say you love it.
๐Ÿ˜›

Shit’s good when I’m not distracted by you. Huh?
Me likey. Makes me smile.
๐Ÿ˜€

Hope this finds you to a pleasant “wake up” once you rise again to greet another day
well, the SAME day…just later on in the afternoon.
XOXOXOXO

Breaking the Seal of Overindulgence

Good God.
I think it’s DEFINITELY time for detox!
Whoa.
Red wine OVERLOAD yesterday.
After about 4 glass of wine at the hotel bar…headed into Rotterdam.
Started off with a softijs.
๐Ÿ™‚
Reminds me of my daddy. I’m not a dessert kinda person…but these have become a, AT LEAST,
once a week addition to my Netherlands diet plan.
Interesting.
Stopped into the Mexican restaurant across the theater for a quick beer to kill
time before the movie.
This was SUCH an uncomfortable scene to watch.
Chick was YOUNG and obviously not all that interested.
When her eyes met mine, it was almost screaming: “HELP ME!”
As I was mesmerized by the spectacle before me, someone got in the way of my view.
I was like, “Ha. Funny…she looks like…oh, it is!”
(Was my friend Vessi.)
This place is just ONE big spread out small town or something, cuz good God.
For a person who doesn’t live here, I sure bump into a lot of people I’ve met!
(Population is around 650,000 Between Schiedam and Rotterdam)
I’m starting to feel I gotta really watch myself, I no longer feel (enjoyably) incognito here.
**sigh**
The demon himself.
OMG.
TOO many of these. TOO many!
(We ended up closing the restaurant and the owner sat down to chat with me…
along with 2 bottles of red wine.
(This, on top of the bottle or so I already downed)
AYE.
See You See Me…again. As always. It’s become my sanctuary here in Holland.
http://www.restaurant-seeyouseeme.nl/
Great atmosphere, food and service.
Below is some new mango concoction.
There’s always a new treat to try as a “welcome” to See You See Me.
Mmmmmmmm. My Pad Thai.
Erin, I told you I like my cilantro!
No mercury in ME man!
๐Ÿ˜›
At the restaurants I haveย cappuccino at…I’m pretty well-known now
for my need for SLAGROOM!
(whipped cream)
I don’t however need THIS much…but, as the proper little asian that I am
polish it off as “respect.”
(People spoil me here)
It was really cool getting to know the owner.
She was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysiaย but has been in Holland
since she was 7.
We discussed stock trading to tennis to opening up the restaurant to human trafficking to how much I can drink.
(Her observation. **sigh**)
(and get THIS, the woman in the house RIGHT across from hers – Chinese – was/is a part
of a HUGE human trafficking ring. She’s currently in jail but business still runs as usual;
Judging by all the fancy cars the kids and family still continue to consume.)
I’m trying to find the articles, as she said they are splashed all over the internet
however, I have to do it in Dutch. Yikes, just the kind of mission
you want to take on after a night of overloading on red wine.
(Maybe I’ll have Chu or Ant do it for me. Yes, yes. That sounds like a plan!)
๐Ÿ˜›
Do me a favor, remind me to DETOX.
I need to be a good girl for a few weeks. Lest my liver divorce me.
Thanks.
(Also, gotta be in good form for my newย restaurateur friend who’s obsessed with clay court tennis)

Psssht! Who said you can’t be a BRILLIANT THAI Chef from RIGHT outta your hotel room!

Presenting: Tom Kha Gai.
Oh yes, I did.

I’ve been obsessed with this soup for a few weeks now…
and the idea of trying to cook it in my hotel room’s electric kettle popped into my head.
๐Ÿ™‚

So, as happens with most things that pop into my head, I tried it!!!
(I’ve always wanted to learn how to cook my fav Thai dishes, just never got around to it
or don’t have a kitchen at my disposal or the ingredients available.)

Recipe I used.
Well, glanced at. Basically used it to see ingredients and went from there.

Laurier blad is wrong though. That’s Bay leaves.
I needed basil OR…in Dutch, basilicumblaadjes.
(Yeah, looks like a mess in Dutch, but what I’m learning is they like taking words and pushing ’em together
maybe thereby giving them more power. Or, maybe they don’t like to breathe when they speak.)
I’m not Dutch, I don’t make the rules. Don’t ask me.

I used wings, cuz I like wings and DON’T have a proper knife to cut chicken breasts.

I put chili in the soup too, but I always need more “UMF.”
My Tom Kha Gai ain’t GOOD until it’s RED.
๐Ÿ™‚

The soup can be made blindfolded it’s so easy.
Main flavors of importance MOST needed is the lemon grass, fish sauce, lime, coconut and ginger.
I don’t think missing the basil really effected it. Must try again, another time…
however…I may have just broken the POT!
๐Ÿ˜›

It was something to do, on a cold, wet, yucky day.
And now another curiosity has been quenched. Another score for the knowledge bin.

Just a random shot that came up on Facebook.
It made me smile. That’s my Paki, Manin. She’s a beautiful woman…but doesn’t like pics
just like me, (on right) so yeah. Makes faces. I’ll see if I can pic a “normal” face one for her.
Her kids are f-in gorgeous. (Italian-Indian mix with MIND-BLOWING EYES and skin color.) I told her prep her boy or daughter…cuz I’mma be takin’ one of them in 15 years.
๐Ÿ˜€

I like this pic of me. I really do. I dunno why.
